- Try foods with minimal odor (scent of food may cause nausea)
- Eat dry cereal, toast, or crackers in the AM [low blood sugar in AM triggers nausea]

- Hydrate frequently in small doses [sipping]; dehydration may cause nausea, clear liquids, Tea and Ginger Ale may decrease nausea, flat soda pop

- Get plenty of rest
- Dill Pickles may alter the metallic taste sensation from chemotherapy drugs
- Angel food cake
- Skinned chicken (baked or broiled, not fried)
- Ice chips
- Wrist wrap acupressure points "SEABANDS" for motion sickness [acupressure points on the wrist counteract nausea for some subjects]
- Drinking peppermint or raspberry-leaf warm or cool tea, or peppermint-flavored candy
- Take vitamin B6 (20-50mg per day)
- Fatty, greasy or fried foods
- Very sweet, such as candy, cookies or cake
- Spicy or hot
- With strong odors
- Avoid Iron supplements or try going without Vitamin multiples, except B-6
- Avoid coffee or high acid hot drinks
- Avoid icy drinks, highly carbonated drinks, or very hot drinks
Eat small amounts often and slowly. Drink fewer liquids with meals. Drinking liquids can cause a full, bloated feeling. Drink or sip liquids throughout the day, except at mealtimes for adequate hydration. Dehydration induces nausea. Overhydration induces nausea. Using a straw may help. Eat foods at room temperature or cooler; hot foods may add to nausea. Don’t force yourself to eat favorite foods when nauseated as this may cause a permanent dislike of those foods. Avoid constipation; if bowels "back-up", nausea may result of worsen.

Pancreatitis and pancreas disorders can come from alcohol (but I drink only one time every week!), fat or cholesterol ( I am having a little cholesterol level), internal surgery inflammation ( I had my spleen taken out!), medication ( I had chemotherapy for lymphoma) and stress ( I had a problem with my wife)
So all these can make pancreas active because it is the center of insulin regulation wich control sugar levels of the blood, and any of the above conditions can trigger high sugar or low sugar blood levels, thus making the pancreas work harder and having trouble.
So I have now pancreatitis and pancreas cysts which I faced with acute pain in the stomach region and was confirmed after a PET scan, hospitalization and 4 days of all body tests including Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Blood etc... during wich I was forced not to eat for 3 days .
The pain has gone but what to eat now?
This diet is based on 5 to 6 snacks with 2 to 3 hours intervals and as little as possible every time (50 to 100 grams) of food and one small cup of water , tea or juice.Fresh Fruits and vegetables should be considered as whole meals instead of the usual cooked meals.
I am taking breakfast (sorry ! first snack) at 9 in the morning and I am eating:
- One egg white cooked without oil
- One banana
- One toast bread
- A cup of green tea creamed with soya drink
Yesterday I took for first snack!
- 2 sliced turkey Ham
- One banana

Look, I do not wish to offend anybody and I do not wish to be insensitive. Though, I have always been curious how a diabetic's life works? I have a friend who recently told me he was diabetic, he's been so since he was 5. We're both 19 and I had never known this, all I know is that all of a sudden he started losing weight for no reason, and I always wondered why. Finally he told me and I was pretty shocked. I never saw him injecting himself, never in elementary school, high school, never did I know....he always seemed so normal. This doesn't change my view of him, but I just want to know, do people with diabetes go through alot to hide it? does it emotionally/mentally affect them? Thanks, I would just like to be more aware of people living with diabetes. Thanks.
In fact it is abvious that many people talk about their diabetic life ,especially Adults ,if they are asked otherwise how do we know about them?.But many others try to hide it completly or at least they try not to mention the Insuline level,and this is for Kids and Teens.The reason i think is pain both physical and moral.Physically there is always a bit of anger to make this daily seringue shot,some people make it 6 times per day.and these people simply don't want to show this painful side of their life to others.Morally for them it is kind of being more powerful for them,to restrain from telling"everything" to others,in Health matters.I think that is the main reason they don't talk about it and just say for example " take medecine".
Of course most people won't try even to consider make the injection in front of someone even he is from the family.But the problem is found with people must make the injection durink work hours for examle.
Any way it is not an easy situation and even for taking medecine i used to go to an empty room at the college and take it.
I think we must be sporty about these things and take it at it is .

Especially between 3 am and 6 am in the morning?
It is also my problem.
Scientifically there is no evidence that cramps must occur at this precise time.
But why do we have these cramps at this time ?
I'm doing a statistic survey on this problem:If you too have cramps that occur suddenly or prepare, between 3 am and 6 in the morning or at any time of day, that spoil your sleep and living, simply put a note in: Comments, at the bottom of the text specifying the hours of your cramps.
The results can be seen by everyone.
And perhaps a solution will be found on the net.
NB: If you have any "MAGICAL" solution to reduce or eliminate foot cramps at night please don't hesitate to write it down also .
Your advice and experience can solve this problem.

Numerous disorders lead to the accumulation of fluid or edema in the lungs.
Lungs (there are two) are normally air-filled; their main function being to take oxygen from the atmosphere, exchange it with carbon dioxide, and transfer the fresh oxygen to the blood for transport to all the cells in the body.
The lungs are spongy (comprised of multiple small sacs known as alveoli) organs located in the chest behind the rib cage. When fluid builds up in the alveoli, it interferes with the normal oxygen intake -- causing severe disturbances in body function.
Shortness of breath
Gasping for air
Shortness of breath with activity
Inability to sleep lying flat (need more than 2 pillows)
Wheezing sound with breathing
Wet gurgling sounds in the chest
Coughing a pinkish or blood-tinged frothy sputum
Anxiety and restlessness
Pounding or Racing Heart rate
Chest pain or sudden shortness of breath at night waking the patient up
Breathing may completely stop for a few seconds during sleep
Swelling (fluid build up) in the feet and ankles
Fever and other symptoms may occur according to the specific etiology.
Heart disorders can cause fluid to back up in the blood vessels (veins) that carry blood away from the lungs to the heart. As a result of pressure build-up in these veins, excess fluid leaks out into the alveoli.

Valvular heart disease -- poorly-functioning doors between heart's 4 chambers
Arrhythmias -- irregularities in heart rhythm
Cardiomyopathy -- enlarged, balloon- like myocarditis (i.e., infection of heart muscle)
Congenital (present at birth) heart diseases -- such as holes in the walls between heart chambers (i.e., atrial and Ventricular Septal Defects).
Endocarditis -- infection of the valves
High Blood Pressure
Volume or fluid overload -- too much liquid intake by a person with diseased heart or kidneys.
Thyroid disease (hypothyroid or hyperthyroid)
Beriberi (Vitamin B1 Deficiency)
Kidney (renal) failure
Pneumonia -- infection of the lungs
Pulmonary Embolism -- blockage of lung blood vessels due to air bubbles, fat, amniotic fluid (in newborns), or clotted blood
Pancreatitis -- irritation, infection, or damage to the pancreas.
Drug overdose -- heroin and others
High altitude sickness -- rapid climbing to heights (mountains) can cause Pulmonary Edema and other problems.
Patient will appear breathless with nasal flaring (sides of nose moving outward with each breath)
The pulse rate (heart rate) may be faster than normal (60-100 beats per minute)
The doctor, using a stethoscope, will hear the Fluid in the Lungs (rales and crepitations) and abnormal or extra heart sounds.
Arterial blood gas test -- blood oxygen levels are lower than normal (hypoxia).
Blood test may show that carbon dioxide levels are lower than normal (hypocarbia).
Other blood tests may be necessary in diagnosing the cause (e.g., high CPK levels in heart attack and Amylase in pancreatitis).
Chest X-Ray will show Fluid in the Lungs.
Electrocardiogram (measures electrical activity of the heart), Echocardiogram (uses sound waves to create a picture of the heart), and CAT scan can also be helpful in pinpointing the exact cause of the edema.
A cardiologist (heart doctor) may be called to perform a cardiac catheterization or Swan-Ganz catheterization, which are techniques that can provide valuable information about the heart and edema.
Aim is to treat symptoms and remove or reduce the fluid
In sudden, severe cases:
Oxygen as needed
Morphine, furosemide, nitroglycerin, and other medications are given in the hospital to reduce Anxiety, improve circulation, and promote fluid excretion (diuresis) or peeing excess fluid.
The patient, once admitted, receives drugs (diuretics) over the next several days to assist in gradually reducing excess fluid (urination removes excess body water).
The weight and amount of fluid taken in and urinated is carefully measured.
Low salt diet
Before discharge, the patient sees a cardiologist and is sent home with a treatment plan and medications.

I live in Beirut. My physical life can be descibed as moderate and healthy.I am considered sport, a type which preserves well its balance and its muscular tone and by the fact even, his moral!
But here! There is one year an evil appeared: an Auto-immune Anaemia of I do not know where nor how and my only treatment was cortisone. Then the after-effects of this treatment have drag. One of the consequences appeared after the treatment out of cortisone and which seized me was a beginning of Osteoarthritis caused by a rather high rate of uric acid continuation which quite simply nailed me on the spot: difficulty of movements, impossibility of making a long walk, tires in the articulation, impossibility of making jogging, attitude of “old age”, movements slow and painful when I rise after a certain position, obstructs on the level of the muscles when I quite the car, nervousness, etc….
A SOLUTION SHOULD BE FOUND SO THAT THIS EVIL DOES NOT WORSEN,
especially that I read here and there that the uric acid generates the gout and the gout generates the loss of the cartilage which cannot be formed any more again and the loss of the cartilage generates the osteoarthritis which is irrevocable and not to be cured etc little more. etc. etc… . Ouf… a succession of consequences in chains where one foresees a health condition with disastrous future that cannot be repaired when it arrives its final limit and which is : THE LOSS OF THE CARTILAGE ON THE LEVELS OF THE ARTICULATIONS OF ALL THE BODY.
DRUGS or POISONS
The EFFECT OF the TARGETED NUTRITION is not to be demonstrated anymore, for me the four last months convinced me definitively that the usual food that one eats with pleasure are either DRUGS or POISONS!.
Of course it is the long heritage practice of good taste in eating that lays heavy on our shoulders. Especially here in Beirut the capital of mezza ,arak,and heavy meals. But more then share of the eaten time which gives us pleasure and which is our right on earth and in Lebanon, it is in final only for a certain number of (young) years that eating with pleasure will give us joy.

The first of these joys would be Sugar or if you like to soften the terme : Sweets and I mean by that all kinds of sweets from Beirut to Europe and what they bring to us of evils for the teeth or serious diseases like the diabetes. Then what they contain of butters and oils and fat and what they bring for the heart, obesity or cholesterol.
ALL STARTS WITH BREAKFAST: COFFEE WITH MILK AND THEN THE 10 o'clock COFFEE
A MORBID PRACTICE WICH IS AT THE BASE OF MORE OF OUR TROUBLES IN LIFE.
One of the problems of breakfast it is that it must be well balanced and fast.
but when one has a PROBLEM to manage, it is necessary nevertheless to take its time to compose a breakfast.
With regard to the osteoarthritis and the problems of the articulations (tendons, bone, cartilage, muscles, nerves, etc…).It is that few nutritive ingredients in the kitchen are able to satisfy our taste for a tasty good breakfast.
A good breakfast means copious or to be more precise glucid and lipids rich .
However how to illiminate from our breakfast these “dangerous” practices for the problems of osteoarthritis and health in general?
Coffee was used in its countries of origins like tonic medicine in the event of diseases a stimulant for muscules in the wars and a hallucinatory poison for the Shamans!
Is This makes the coffee suitable for a modern individual?!
the first signs are a general satisfaction of good being an awakening of the direction due to its stimulative influence on the nervous system, this is why it becomes a morning practice: it awakes the senses

but the reverse of the medalion is there:

Then suddenly there is a drop when the effect DECREASES

My personal research and test daily on this subject:
for 3 cups per day of 8:00 15:00 has (the evening I do not take any, BECAUSE TONIC EFFECT is MUCH LONGER AND IS LIKELY TO LEAVE ME WAKE UP MOST OF the NIGHT)
indeed the coffee returns me hyper agitated (it is well for the alarm clock)
but after that a feeling of frustratiion and a tiredness.
It is the same as the case of alcohol.
If I take several cups per day, I have cramps at the feet by night
